a fire broke out in the apartment across from mine thursday morning.
the construction workers removing the apartment’s guts have spraypainted a 4-foot white cross on its giant balcony windows. through them, one sees only charred and blackened innards.
management sent a letter saying it was caused by a lit cigarette left on a couch.
it must have been a very unholy cigarette.
